Smart City Business Talks (SCB-TalK) is a knowledge platform that hosts conversations, lectures and presentations on the most diverse aspects involving cities.
Business leaders, scientists, researchers, architects, artists, entrepreneurs, designers and anyone who has an idea or vision to improve cities and the lives of their citizens, can apply to participate and become a SCB-Talk Speaker.
The SCB-TalK aims to inform and educate people about the countless ways to improve the quality of life in cities, in addition to allowing the creation of sustainable actions and projects. The dissemination of simple and creative ideas can stimulate the future adoption of effective public policies by municipalities.
A good idea can be something inspiring, capable of changing people's worldview, making them aware of the need to improve people's quality of life, in any area of human activities. In our case, involving cities and the way people live, work and play in them.

• Each lecture or conversation lasts from 5 to 15 minutes |
• The approach needs to be timeless, ensuring the longevity of the recording |
• Claims and data used by speakers must be technically substantiated |
• Prohibition of personal or commercial promotion without connection with the idea discussed |
• Prohibition of public involvement in recordings |
• Recording in person or online |
• Objective presentation or conversation, following pre-established guidelines |
• Prohibition of polarized speech or that offends beliefs and values, especially political or religious |
• Obligation of the assignment of exhibition rights by the speakers |
• Prohibition of remuneration for speakers |

SCB Talks events will take place in 2 formats:
The selection of national and international interested parties is made through "Calls" on the SCBA website, when they can make their entries and indicate the topics of interest. After evaluation by the Curator Committee, lectures and conversations will be selected for SCB-TalK throughout the year. Sponsoring companies are entitled to a certain number of entries, but are subject to the same entry and selection rules regarding relevance, quality of speakers, presentations and performance in front of the cameras.
SCB Talks lectures and conversations can be on any topic, but they must always create a connection with cities, from the point of view of customs, lifestyles, arts, technologies, economy, entrepreneurship, etc.

To be a SCB-TalK Speaker, simply register and submit a proposal for a lecture or presentation, which will be evaluated by our Curator Committee. If approved, you will be eligible to be a Speaker. Anyone can apply: artists, philosophers, scientists, consultants, entrepreneurs, etc.
Being a SCB Talks Speaker is a great differential in people's careers and we are very careful in the choice process, as only people with clear ideas and good communication can become SCB-TalK Speakers. To guarantee the quality standard, it is essential that each participant and each proposal is rigorously analyzed by the project's curator, formed by people from different backgrounds and experiences, invited by the SCBA.
Registration is carried out on the SCB Talks website and the process is simple, consisting of questions that help us get to know you: your goals, achievements, interests and ideas, in addition to basic personal information.
Each questionnaire is carefully analyzed and checked by the members of the SCB-TalK Curator Committee, aiming to find people who can effectively inspire and contribute with ideas and proposals for the improvement of cities.
No, it is absolutely free to register or make any presentations at SCBA events or platforms. We believe that knowledge should never be commercialized and that inspiring ideas should be shared with everyone.
